Koh Tao has no airport, so visitors arrive by boat at Mae Haad Pier on the west coast. The resort is a 15-minute drive from the pier and about 2.4 km from Koh Tao town centre. Pick-up truck taxis operate around the island and can take you onward from Mae Haad to the southern villages.

Snorkelling, diving, canoeing and fishing are available at the resort; Shark Bay is known for blacktip reef sharks and turtles in shallow water. Chalok and Shark Bay are generally on the calmer side from November to March, while rough seas can disrupt ferry crossings, particularly from November to January.
